Keohane makes the switch to Bristol City

Wednesday August 18 2010

WEXFORD YOUTHS' bright young prospect, Jimmy Keohane, has signed with Championship side, Bristol City, writes Brendan Furlong.

Keohane, an Irish under-age international, enjoyed a weeklong trial with the club before putting pen to paper on a one-year deal last week.

The teenage prospect was enjoying a splendid season with Wexford Youths and, given his displays on the domestic and international fronts, it's no surprise that he has been snapped up by an English club.

Former Wexford Youths captain, Conor Sinnott, has left St. Patrick's Athletic, and joined up with Premier Division side, Drogheda United, for whom he made his full debut last Friday night.

Another Wexford player in the news is Gary Dempsey who is now playing with Bray Wanderers. LOCAL FRONT

On the local front, John Godkin has strengthened his North End hand with the signing of Lee Aust and Warren Broaders from Wexford Youths, while it's also expected that Jason Murphy will be moving across town from Wexford Bohemians.
