Benfica beat Ferns
BENFICA PICKED up their first win of the current season when travelling to Ferns and winning 3-2 in a very close encounter. Gemma Kehoe and Leona Breen scored for the home side but a Beserta Arjeta hat-trick gave the Waterford side the three points.
Curracloe remained unbeaten and joint top of the Premier Division after easily accounting for Fastnet Rovers 10-1. Julie Coakley scored five with Clara Donnelly, Áine Leacy, Rhianna Jarrett, Ellie Carley and Shauna Murphy all adding one each.
In Division 1, Rosslare Rangers caused an upset when coming from two behind to win 4-2 after two first-half goals from Nicole Fortune had put the visitors ahead. However, a much-improved second-half from Rangers saw Sarah Walsh and Shauna Bush Carley score two each.
In Division 2, Duncannon and Castledockrell played out a 2-2 draw, with Chelsea Molloy and Alison Tubridd scoring for the home side while Kate Atkinson and Kate Nolan replied for Castledockrell.
