FAMILY TAG rugby comes to Park Lane this Friday night. Wexford Wanderers extend a special welcome for the fun event at Park Lane, starting at 7 p.m. Fathers, mothers, boys and girls are welcome for this social evening of non-contact tag rugby with a barbeque and refreshments afterwards.

Leinster to visit Wexford in August

GORDON D'ARCY will return to where it all began when the Leinster rugby squad will take in a five-day pre-season training session in Park Lane in August. With a new coach and management team at the helm for the 2010-'11 season, Leinster will begin their preparations with a visit to the Model county where they will enjoy topclass facilities at Park Lane, while they will be based in Whites Hotel.

IN ROUND two of the Under-14 tag rugby, Clonroche-Poulpeasty took on Taghmon. Clonroche-Poulpeasty were physically a much smaller group of children and thus were well able to weave in and out past their opponents.

THESE TWO great rivals over the years, Enniscorthy and New Ross, again produced an absolute classic on Saturday morning, with Enniscorthy winning 24-14 in the Leinster Under-19 Cup semi-final played in Carlow. Four weeks ago New Ross had beaten Enniscorthy 9-8 to win the Leinster League. Enniscorthy were superb in the first-half and totally blew New Ross away, but then in the second-half, New Ross, driven on by Wally Walsh and David Crowdle, came storming back and closed the gap to 1914 with eight minutes remaining.

WHAT A great few days it has been for Wanderers. Wicklow were expected to put up a strong challenge to Wexford in this Leinster Under-15 McAuley Cup quarter-final, but straight from the off Wexford ploughed into them and drove them back deep into their '22.
