Horan on international duty
A LARGE Gorey contigent travelled to Athlone on Friday night last to support Ireland as Gorey's latest international representative, Foster Horan, lined out in the much-coveted number 13 jersey at Under-20 level.

DIVISION 2B leaders Gorey entertained Division 1B side Clondalkin at Clonattin on Saturday last in the first round of the Provincial Towns Cup.

Wexford 26 Enniscorthy 0: Enniscorthy Under-13s played Wexford in the final group match of the Leinster league, with the teams sitting second and first in the group. The game was played in perfect weather conditions on the Ross Road front pitch and both teams started well with some good, robust exchanges in the opening ten minutes.

THE UNDER-17 Leinster champions and All-Ireland runners-up of the last two years meet in the penultimate round of the Under-19 Premier league in Tullow on Saturday next at 12 noon, after Gorey's good away win in Naas and Enniscorthy's home win against Navan in the quarter-finals.

Gorey 10, Navan 0: Gorey beat Navan 10-0 to secure a semi-final place in the Under-13 Leinster Premier League. It was a keenly-contested game which the referee allowed to flow (something both teams said that the international refs could learn from), and this led to a very fast game.
