TWO LOCAL cyclists had the honour of cycling with the legendary Seán Kelly in a practice in Carrick-on-Suir recently.

Phil Lynch of Wexford Wheelers and Annis Kehoe are part of a 150-strong group that are cycling to Lourdes, leaving on Saturday, March 27, to cycle 600 miles to arrive on Good Friday, April 2, to raise funds for The Irish Pilgrimage Trust (I.H.C.P.T.) who bring young people with special needs to Lourdes each Easter.

The cycle takes place every second year. The trust also have a centre in Galway for hosting friendship weeks for people with special needs and are opening a similar centre in Rosslare later this year. The group will also include local woman Mary Wade together with Betty Kehoe and Pádraig O'Connor.

All of these people have had to raise €2,500 each, and they would like to thank the many people who supported their fundraising ventures over the past six months. It has been much appreciated, especially in these difficult times.
