Butler fifth on the list
THE NEW national badminton rankings are now available and Laura Butler's recent successes see the Davidstown player move up from number eleven to number five in the ladies' singles ranking, with Laura Lynch (New Ross) at number ten.
There is no Wexford player in the top ten of the men's singles, but Edward Cousins (Taghmon) is just outside the leading lights at number 12, with Alan Mackay (Eagles) at number 15.
Laura Butler jumps from number 14 in the ladies' doubles to number three, with only Emma Calow and Sinéad Chambers ahead of the Davidstown player. Laura Lynch is at number eleven.
There is no Wexford player in the top 20 of the men's doubles ranking, and Laura Butler is the only Wexford player ranked in the top 20 of the mixed doubles at 13.
