Wood art class
ARTIST and sculptor Paddy Darigan has been called in to provide an intriguing new course at the adult learning centre in Bunclody. From Monday, February 20, the art room in the centre will resound to the noise of chisels on timber as the tutor from Wexford offers an Introduction to Woodcraft course.
Fifteen places are available on the part-time course, which will be presented each Monday morning until June for those aged 21-plus. No fees will be charged to anyone who enrols who did not complete their Leaving Certificate, or who draws a social welfare payment, or holders of a medical card.
The practical exploration of woodcraft as an art is part of Wexford VEC'S back to education initiative which had a thousand participants last year. Anyone interested is asked to contact Sheila Ferris on 086 8424246 without delay as places are limited.
