Quarry plans refused

PLANS TO continue quarrying in a field near Kiltealy have been shot down by Wexford County Council. Simon Jordan has been refused permission to retain his quarry/sandpit on farmland one and a half kilometres north east of Kiltealy village.
Council planners shot down the proposal for the four hectare site at Wheelagower on several ground. They were concerned that extraction of material would take place close to a stream flowing into the River Dolly.
