THURSDAY: Stories begin to spread that Larry Murphy is living in Beachside in Riverchapel.
It's said he was seen walking on Castletown beach the previous day, with two unarmed Gardai and a Probation Officer. He is also said to have visited a coffee shop in Riverchapel on Thursday. FRIDAY: 9.45 a.m. Concerned locals gather at Beachside in an attempt to send out the message that Larry Murphy is not welcome. However it cannot be established which house he is reportedly living in. The crowd dissipates at around 11.30 a.m.
2 p.m. More people gather at Courtown's main square. A petition is handed out, and the crowd is told that even if Larry Murphy is not in the area, he is not welcome in the area.
Throughout the afternoon, stories continue to spread on the internet, with reported sightings as far south as Morriscastle. SATURDAY: Gardai confirm he is not in the area and has not been in the area. SUNDAY: Reports of sightings continue, with one report stating he tried to check into a hotel in Blackwater. MONDAY: There were also reports people in Curracloe were warned to be vigilant.
