Christine's single in aid of flood victims
KILMUCKRIDGE-based singer/songwriter Christine Deady has released a single titled 'Peace' to raise funds to help the victims of flooding across Ireland last year.
She persuaded all involved to donate their services for free so every cent of the €2.99 price for the single would go to the Irish Red Cross flood appeal.
A Cork native, Christine was very moved by the plight of hundreds of families across the south and west. Her single is currently on sale in Dunnes Stores across the country.
Christine is currently working on an album. She has played at several venues around Wexford in the past. She describes her charity single as 'quite hymn-like, very melodic, quiet and folky.'
She thanked all those who had donated their services for the production of the single.
