Noel and Dick in tall tales finals
ENNISCORTHY Toastmasters have started of the New Year with gusto as members Noel Browne and Dick Meaney reached the finals of the tall tales competition set to take place at the Ashdown Park in Gorey on Wednesday, February 1 (8 p.m.).
Toastmasters is devoted to the art of public speaking and the Enniscorthy club has taken to the road to promote their activities. Recent meetings were held, not in Enniscorthy at all, but at the Brandon House hotel in New Ross and the Millrace in Bunclody.
However, the regular routine is to convene on the second Monday of every month in Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy at 8 p.m. Anyone wishing to join Enniscorthy Toastmasters or come along as a guest please should contact Pat Jordan on (086)0725372 or Sarah O'connor on (087)6782211.
One meeting which should be particularly well worth attending will be on Monday, March 5 when former Mountjoy Prison governor John Lonergan will be guest of honour at the Riverside. Everyone will be welcome to
