KILTEALY N.S.
Almost a year ago Kiltealy National School applied for grant aid under the School Summer Works Scheme 2010. The grant application was successful on condition that the Department of Education regulations and conditions were met, including the appointment of a Design Project Manager (DPM) to oversee and assume responsibility for the project.
Tenders were then invited from any interested contractor and advertised accordingly in the local papers. No local tenders were received. Work commenced recently and include the repair or replacement of some flat roofs and repair/replacement of footpaths and upgrade of some playground area.
Kiltealy School was very fortunate to have been successful in the grant application particularly in the current recessionary climate. Hopefully the works will be completed just before the School reopens next week.
