BALLINDAGGIN HALL

Dates to remember for fortcoming events in Ballindaggin Hall; Thursday March 11 - House of Stories; Friday March 12 - Social Dancing.

There is a treat in store for drama lovers on Wednesday March 17 (St. Patrick's night) when Castledockrell Players present "The Field" by John B. Keane. Most people have seen it on screen but the stage version can be very entertaining. On Tuesday March 30 there will be a Hall committee meeting.

DUFFRY SOCIAL CLUB

There was a good attendance at the recent committee meeting of the Duffry Social Club. The outgoing committee were re-elected. Dates were fixed for this years day trips but venues were not decided yet. The September short break this year will be in Cork. Please note the club will not meet on St. Patrick's Day.

COLLECTION

The Wexford branch of Cystic Fibrosis will hold their annual Church gate collection next weekend 6th and 7th March. Thank you for your continued support over the years.

GOLDEN WEDDING

Best wishes to Loughlin Byrne and his wife Betty (nee Doyle) who are celebrating 50 years of wedded bliss at their home in Melbourne, Australia. Loughlin is a native of Curraduff, Kiltealy and Betty is a Bunclody girl. A large group of family and friends travelled to Melbourne to help them celebrate. The couple are wished every happiness for the future.

ENNISCORTHY 1500

Ballindaggin will be well represented at the fortcoming celebrations in Enniscorthy. Ballindaggin Pipe Band will line out with other bands for the 1500 celebrations in the town this coming Saturday evening March 6 at 7 p.m. Also taking part will be Enniscorthy Strawberry Queen Chloe Mythen, Monbeg.

C.C.E. 50TH BIRTHDAY

Co. Wexford Comhaltas Ceolteoiri Eireann 50th birthday bash will take place in Belfield G.A.A. Centre, Enniscorthy this Friday March 5 at 8 p.m. The event had been scheduled for early January but was cancelled due to the weather.

The Enniscorthy branch are hosting a golden jubilee seisuim mor and all branches in the county are set to attend for to celebrate this milestone and reminisce, chat and most of all make music.

There is an open invitation to all interested espicially former members of Comhaltas to come along and join in the celebrations. It should be a most memorable night.

MENTAL HEALTH

The Wexford Mental Health recent Church gate collection in Kiltealy amounted to €354.85. Many thanks to all who contributed.

MASS TIMES

Ballindaggin Parish Church; Saturday Vigil Mass 8 p.m. Sunday morning 8.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Daily Mass 9 a.m. Eucharist Adoration all day Tuesday ending with Mass at 8 p.m.

Kiltealy Church; Saturday Vigil Mass 7 p.m. Sunday morning 10 a.m. Daily Mass this week Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.45 a.m. Eucharist adoration Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stations of the cross and Benediction every Tuesday 8 p.m. for Lent.

DUFFRY ROVERS LOTTO

The numbers drawn last week were; 16, 19, 22, 23. Two players matched 3: Joe Foley c/o M.Mernagh and Alan Dreelan, Shroughmore. Sellers prizes went to Tom Bates, Denis Doyle, Declan Doyle and Paddy Farrell. The jackpot this week is €4,600.
