VETERAN FIDDLER Jimmy Kelly came from his home in Marshalstown to be hailed by his fellow Irish music enthusiast in Enniscorthy recently. He was honoured by members of the Enniscorthy craobh of Comhaltas Ceoltoirí as a great stalwart of the organisation over the past fifty years.

Now in his mid eighties he has been playing his jigs and reels since he was a boy, so there was no way he was going to leave his fiddle behind on this occasion. He was presented with a crystal bowl on the night by Michael Murphy and Seamus Coleman as Doreen's pub in Slaney Street hosted a mighty session.
