St. Aidan's National School, Clonroche are now accepting enrolments for the academic year 2012-2013. Enrolment forms can be obtained by contacting the school office at 053 9244441 or alternatively you may call to the school.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
Second Class pupils of St. Aidans NS will make their First Confessions/ Penance, which will take place in Cloughbawn Church on Tuesday 6th March at 7.30pm and the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be held on Saturday 12th May at 10.30am
TEXAS HOLD-EM CLUB
A total of 21 players took part in the recent tournament. Results were: 10th Andrew Dempsey, 9th Noelie Kehoe 8th Mick Kehoe, 7th Elsie Cummins, 6th Rusty Brunson, 5th Mike Codd, 4th Kenneth Kennedy, 3rd Noel Kehoe, 2nd Maureen Furlong, 1st Seamus Kearns. Next week's tournament starts in the Cloch Ban at 9pm.
CLOUGHBAWN GAA CLUB
Membership for 2012 is now due. There will be a Registration evening on Friday 3rd February from 8-9pm in the Complex. Fees: Full-time student/underage is €20, non playing adult/walking track/handball/squash is €30, Adult player €80 and Family €100.
COMMUNITY GAMES
A meeting will be held in Clonroche Community Centre on Tuesday 31st January at 8.30pm.
ANNUAL PARISH PARTY
The annual parish party, held in Clonroche Community Centre on Sunday 22nd January, was a fantastic success with ninety-seven meals served. Organised by Clonroche Development Association Ltd, it's a tribute to the community that so many from outside the Association gave of their time and effort to make this event so successful.
