The Soccer Club was delighted with the great turnout for the official opening of their pitch and the turning of the sod for the new Clubhouse on Monday afternoon. John Delaney CEO of the FAI accompanied by former Republic of Ireland Players Ray Houghton, and Packie Bonner, along with other dignitaries from the FAI performed the honours on the day.
The Players delighted the crowd posing for photographs and speaking individually to the members. The planned layout and drawings for the new development were on display for all to see. Chairman Jim Redmond addressed the Crowd speaking of the Club's history and formation and achievements up to the present day.
