CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Charlotte Redmond who was selected to play in an Exhibition Camogie game at half time of the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi Finals in Croke Park recently.

It was part of the INTO/GAA Mini Sevens GAA Go Games. Charlotte was selected by her team mates and teachers in Clonegal NS to represent the school at a skills display earlier in the year and there was great rejoicing in June when the school was informed that Charlotte had been selected to play in Croke Park.

The twenty girls selected from across the country were divided into two teams for the exhibition game and Charlotte played for Kilkenny against Cork. It was a wonderful experience for her to play in Croke Park and she displayed her excellent skills on the pitch having marched on to the field behind the Artane Boys Band. To add to her excitement she discovered when she opened the official programme for the game that she was the only girl profiled in the booklet. All her friends wish her continued success as a very promising Camogie player.
