CAMOLIN

SEANA GHAEL

Patsy Morris, formerly Clough, was one of 69 recipients of the Seana Ghael, honoured for past services to the GAA. Described as a master-hurler for his club St. Pat's, the four best hurlers he witnessed for his club were Tommy Morris, Andy Carton, Har Doyle and Denis Howell. Patsy first played junior hurling from 1957-72.

ST. PAT'S E.G.M

An Emergency General Meeting has been called for Friday, 13nt January at 7.30pm. All players and club members are asked to attend the clubhouse, Camolin.

GAA LOTTO

There no winner of the jackpot on Monday 2nd January: winning numbers were: 4 - 13 - 24 - 26; two matched 3 numbers receive €100, The Canteen 3, Jack Redmond.

CAMOLIN GPA

From January 2012, there are a €3 bounty on mink and grey squirrel. Tails must be kept to verify returns. Forms for making returns are available from the secretary of Camolin GPA.

CAMOLIN CELTIC

The U10 Girls, were very unlucky in there recent away match, losing 2-1 to St. Leonard's. Aine Byrne scoring our only goal. Our U14 Boys had a great win at home against a gallant Kilmore, in the cup match. The game ebbed and flowed, with David Doyle scoring twice, Ciaran Murphy and David Moore netting a late winner in thrilling 4-3 encounter

SYMPATHY

Condolences to the Hamilton family, The Bracknagh, on the bereavement of Bridie Hamilton, to her loving family and grandchildren, friends and neighbours. As a mark of respect to the Hamilton Family, St. Pat's gave a customary guard of honour, requiem mass and burial took place in Ballyoughter.

Sympathy also to the Kelly Family, Clologue on the sudden death of Ted, beloved husband of Nell, and loving father of Joan, Kevin, Edward and Jim. Sadly missed by his family-in-laws, neighbours and friends. Requiem mass took place in St. Briget's church Clologue, with burial in adjoining cemetery. Rest in peace.

BALLYOUGHTER ICA

Ballyoughter ICA Guild held its latest meeting on 8th December. Apologies were given by Madge, Rose, and Bridie. A warm welcome was accorded to new member Dawn Tomkins. Sympathy was extended to Aideen Laurent and to the Doyle and Morris families on their recent bereavements.

Secretary and Treasurer's reports were read, and the President gave a resume of the November Federation meeting. The competition for nicest artificial Christmas table centre-piece was won by Marian, while Eilish was the runner-up. The raffle winner was Stasia.

Guest speaker Rhona Askins gave an enlightening talk on the benefits of Hypnotherapy and Relaxation. Aideen served a lively supper which rounded off a very enjoyable evening.

The next meeting is on 12th January at 8 p.m. in Leskinfere School, Clogh. The competition is 'New Year Greeting Card' to be exchanged among Guild Members present. Please come and join us and bring a friend. Beidh failte mor romhat.
