OLD PHOTOGRAPHS

If anyone has any old photographs of Ballycanew can you please contact Aislinn Medd on 087-2127614 or Ann Kehoe on 087-7433684. Every care will be taken of them as we now know they are rare. A copy will be made and returned immediately. This is in connection with a project of the history of Ballycanew. You can also leave them in with Ann in the school office.

ST PATRICK'S G.A.A. LOTTO

There no winner of the jackpot on Monday January 23rd; winning numbers were 3, 8, 13, 14; two matched 3 numbers to receive €100, Aidan Byrne and Lorraine Doyle.

WHIST DRIVE RESULTS

Results of Whist Drive held in hall on Friday night January 27th: Top Score Sheamus Stafford; Gents 1st Peg Mcdonald, 2nd Kevin Molloy & Ben Martin; Gents Half Time J. Doran; Ladies 1st Eilish Murray; 2nd Naomi Tomkins, 3rd P. Staford;

Ladies Half Time - Anne Roche. Whist Drive every Friday night in the Hall commencing at 8.15pm sharp. All are welcome

VALENTINE'S DISCO

The Christmas Lights Committee will run a Valentine's 60's, 70's & 80's disco in Bootlaces Pub on Friday 10th February at 9p.m. Raffle on the night also. Admission is €2 and all proceeds will go towards the Ballycanew National School Fundraising Appeal. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Talent Night: Community Games want Talent. Our Talent night is on 11th February at 7.00pm in Ballygarrett GAA Complex. All entries for solo / group singing, music group, Irish dancing, recitation, drama and sketch need to have registered with Mary on 085-1266178

Girls Soccer: Good luck to the U-13 & U15 Soccer Girls in Bunclody on the 5th February.

Model Making: Well done to Sean O'brien who got on very well at the Model Making and to Una Mcguire who won gold in the U-10 Model Making.

Basketball: Basketball every Wednesday night in Ballygarrett GAA Complex from 6.30pm - 8.30pm for ages 9yrs upwards.

OLD PHONES

Ballyca new national School are appealing once again for old mobile phones. Our target is 200 mobile phones and in return we will get an ipad 2 .

If you have any old mobile phones you can leave them in the green box situated inside the school or hand them into the office.

BATTERY RECYCLING

Ballycanew national School continues to recycle small household batteries. If you have any batteries then please drop them to the school office.
