LEXUS is recalling 480 cars in Ireland, including the LS 460 and LS 600h from 2007, and the mid-size GS 450h from mid2006, to replace improperly functioning valve springs, which have been found in some cars. Owners will be given a replacement car for the two days the repairs are being carried out. A total of 74,111 new cars have been sold so far this year, representing a 47 per cent increase on last year. And the Ford Focus is the best selling model this year. A new parts supplier has been set up. Funded by the Gowan Group's Investment Division and focusing on fast-moving service and maintenance items, GoPartsDirect.ie claims its price are an average of 25% cheaper than OE equivalent parts and 60% cheaper than OE.
