Dervan makes Galway comeback

Thursday March 11 2010

Conor Dervan is back in the Galway team for the first time since 2008 and will start against Tipperary in the NHL at Semple Stadium on Sunday.

The defender was not included in the Galway squad last year, and has only recently returned from a controversial 12-week suspension.

The only other change sees James Akehill take over in goal from Colm Callanan in a goalkeeper rotation policy.

Meanwhile, Clare will be without corner-back Gerry Quinn for their NHL clash with Wexford at Cusack Park on Sunday because of a hamstring injury.
